I’m visiting Sundeep in London. The drive down here was mostly uneventful, a bit scary once I was seeing congestion charge warining signs, but I made it to Sun’s house in 5 hours including 2 services breaks. Not bad, I thought. My car has a warning light on referring to emissions — I’ve been ignoring it so far. I hope it’s nothing serious, I’ll take it to the garage when I’m back in Aber. Oh god, I hope it doesn’t need a new catalytic converter!
Sundeep’s flat is small but nice, though of course she pays a premium for being in a nice area of London (yes, they exist!). We went out for coffee, and later, drinks, last night in the Leicester Square area. I can’t help but think of it as yellow… The tube was packed on the way back and we had to push people in so the doors would shut. It was fun.
Today we are going shopping, and probably up the London eye, since neither of us have been on it. Possibly later going to Pentonville Road, which I expect to be blue.
I really want to go on a monopoly pub crawl around London, but I don’t want to end up waking up on Mimas wearing a pink crimpolene hat and fishing waders with a passport in the name of Emily Birkenstein. Particularly since we haven’t yet colonised Mimas.

The non-colonisation of Mimas being the *only* obstacle to that plan, of course. And not the fact that you’re such a lightweight you wouldn’t make it to the first station

Watch out for hoppers.
