Water water everywhere…

It all started when I broke the cold tap in the bath. We failed to find the stopcock to turn off the water, but being unmetered, we decided to just leave the tap running. Several hours into Troma Night I point out that the bath is half full, because it doesn’t quite drain fast enough. We think about siphoning the water out of the window using brewing equipment, but eventually settle upon forcing the water out of the showerhead only, which we then secure under the toilet lid, where it will apparently drain sensibly. There was a point with Dan, Ruth and JTA in the bathroom, water pouring out from the toilet and the bath alike, and I turn up and say “How could you possibly have made it worse?

Watch this space. Back to Star Trek: Generations (with a rifftrax, of course).

edit: Matt and his long yet narrow arm saved the day by reaching the stoptap in the outside crevice thingy. Water is, however, dripping down the wall over the stairs… we’ve used Adam’s cake tub to catch it for now.

edit: The plumber eventually arrived, and fixed everything, and now we have new taps. I’m glad that this time I was aware of it, unlike last time
