Manchester & related shenanigans

A few things to say about the trip:

  • There’s still one seat in my car for anyone in Aber who wants to join us.
  • We’ll be going to the 8pm Comedy Store show on the 16th June, getting show only tickets because we will have eaten beforehand. So…
  • Book your tickets! They are unreserved seating so we will be able to sit together regardless, as long as we arrive earlyish. Book them with Ticketmaster or call Manchester Comedy Store.
  • I’m still not sure when we’re putting the car in Preston, could be after shopping since Trafford Centre parking is free anyway and then we could leave Aber at 9 rather than 8. However, this would split the group for about an hour. How will we cope? A third option is that I stay sober… I’m not liking this as a plan, on my birthday of all days! Fourthly, I guess we could all hop on the train in Aber, but that’s expensive.
  • Regardless of the above, we meet at 12 in the Trafford Centre, but I don’t know where as it’s been about 5 years since I was last there. I have a phone that works, is charged, and has credit, and will endeavour to prolong this happy state of affairs. I’ll text closer to the time.
  • Who’s coming? So far I have me, Dan, and Matt P in my car, and I hear Jimmy is coming, possibly with TGB and others? Do I have to make a facebook event just to find out?

On becoming more contactable and more aged

I have a new phone. It’s a Nokia 6080 which cost me £30 plus £10 Vodafone top-up, which is mighty cheap. I’m only going to lose it again, so there was no point getting some flashy shiny thing on a contract. My new number is on Facebook, though it was wrong for about an hour so you may want to check that you have the second, correct number. If you’re not on Facebook, call Dan or the house phone, or subtract my old number from 15769447490 and stick a 0 at the front.

On Saturday I’ll be turning 24, and I hadn’t planned on doing anything, but then I thought of something I’d like to do. The plan is to drive to Preston, leave my car there so I can drink, get train to Manchester Trafford Centre where we meet anyone not in our car, and after shopping/possibly cinema go to the Comedy Store in Manchester in the evening, before crashing back in Preston for those of us travelling from Aber. What do people think? Comedy store is £16, but you could come just for the shopping, or just for the comedy, of course.

Sorry if this is short notice for anyone. 1.5 spaces left in my car, but then most of you are out of town anyway, aren’t you? Meet at Trafford Centre at midday? 8am at my car for Aberites?
