We just got told “Here’s a list of planets, they come in this order, lean ‘em.” None of these pansy mnemonics for us. So if they haven’t got a helpful last letter to work with, maybe they’ll just make kids pull their own weight?

I was a nerd even at that age and though I’m not sure I learnt it in school, I didn’t know a mnemonic, either. I was not geeky enough to know all their sidereal periods and equatorial radii, though. Anyone who says I was is lying.

I was a nerd even at the tender young age of primary school attendee and knew all the plants by heart without a mnemonic. I wasn’t so geeky that I knew all the orbital periods and equatorial radii by heart though, and anyone who says I was is lying.
