Comic

Like, there’s a new one. Please have a look at the latest Aber Effect and tell me what you think. Also, look through them all if you haven’t seen the previous ones.

I’m getting a lot of spam comments atm (which thankfully WordPress is catching) but because I have to look through those to get to yours it might be a few days before I notice a genuine comment.

Hurray for ThePlace, I’m going home for lunch as it’s so close.

Housewarming

Well, we’re almost all moved in now, a few things still in boxes but looking a lot like a home now. I love the new place, I can’t believe how awful TheFlat was in comparison. Don’t get me wrong, I loved living there, but with what we have now I could never go back to living like that. Here’s a list of things that are better about the new place:

  • There is a freezer
  • There is a whole kitchen, with lots of workspace and a table
  • There is a washing machine
  • There is a spare bedroom
  • It’s on the ground floor
  • There’s a bath
  • The carpets are thicker
  • It’s clean
  • It’s bigger
  • It’s nearer my place of work, meaning I walk to work
  • It has sensible fire precautions
  • It has a doorbell
  • It has big windows
  • It has a powerful and warm shower
  • It has an oven
  • It had a sofabed that’s compfortable to sit on (haven’t tried sleeping on it)
  • It has a nice view
  • I can park right outside it for as long as I want
  • It’s convenient for visiting if you live on campus.

And now the cons:

  • We have neighbours, which might mean needing to be quieter
  • There’s no cafe underneath for peckishness
  • It’s not in the centre of town, amenities are further away (including Burger King)
  • It’s not as convenient for people who live in town
  • The road can be hard to turn out of when there’s traffic.

Ok, I think we have a winner.

HOUSEWARMING
Saturday from 4pm at the new flat (Get the address) or call me if you need to know… there’ll be a few signs on the windows and door so you can’t really get lost. Nibbles & soft drinks will be provided but BYOB and Troma Night will proceed at 8pm, when pizza will be ordered. Come see the new flat and make it warm with people.
